The Big Gun V8 Ute Racing team of Brad Patton, Peter Burnitt, Ryal Harris and Greg Willis are as ready as they’ll ever be for this weekend’s fourth round of the 2011 Auto One V8 Ute Series at the Townsville Sucrogen 400.
Team Manager / Head Engineer Joe De Vries has been in Townsville for over a week now prepping the cars and setting things up for what the team hopes will be it’s most successful round yet in 2011.
“We’ve had some tremendous help from the TAFE up here,” says De Vries, “as have several other teams as well. The assistance we’ve received from the TAFE guys has been really vital in our build up and we can’t thank them enough for all that they are doing.”

Official press release – Big Gun Racing
Big Gun Racing are proud to announce a new sponsor in the form of Teng Tools, on the eve of the second round of the second round of the 2011 Auto One V8 Ute Series, protected by Armor All. “Nobody tests their tools and their equipment in a more high intensity environment than we do in V8 Ute Racing,” smiles Big Gun hard charger Brad Patton, “it’s the nature of the beast that something’s going to get bent, something’s going to need to be fixed, and it’s all got to happen in a heartbeat. That’s why we can’t afford to take chances with our spares inventory or our tools. It has to be Teng Tools for us, that’s all there is to it.” Since 1985 Teng Tools have been producing high performance, tough tools for the work and racing environment.

VIP Petfoods sponsored V8 Ute Drivers Brad Patton and Ryal Harris recorded impressive results and left their respective ‘paw prints’ on the first round of the 2011 Auto One V8 Ute Racing Series – protected by Armor All at the season opening Clipsal 500 last weekend.
Debuting their stunning near identical VIP Petfoods XR8 Falcons the Queensland duo set about leaving a lasting impression on the demanding Adelaide street circuit and both came away satisfied with their contrasting fortunes.
Patton’s #14 VIP Petfoods / WICKED / Denco Falcon was in the wars early in Race One but showed exceptional car speed in Race Two to speed back from the rear of the grid and show significant potential in his brand new car.
