The concrete walls that line the Armor All Gold Coast 600 track are unforgiving, immoveable objects that take many weeks to be packed away by an army of men and their heavy industrial cranes many days after the event.
They’re heavy and their cumbersome.
And it takes a great deal more than one errant V8 Ute to shift one.
None the less, Brad Patton did his level best to shove one of the blocks that makes up the wall with his once pristine WICKED / CHILL XR8 Falcon.

The Big Guns Racing Team of Peter Burnitt, Brad Patton and Rohan Barry will be at full strength this weekend for the 7th round of the 2010 Yokohama V8 Ute Series at the Armor All Gold Coast 600.
The three Big Guns V8 Utes will be ready for action as they compete in their ‘home’ round around the streets of Surfers Paradise.
“This is our home round,” says Big Guns Team Manager Joe De Vries, “and we have a huge contingent of sponsors, family and friends turning out to support us. This is going to be massive.”

Aside from a couple of bruising encounters, Peter Burnitt was a relatively happy camper in the wash up of the sixth round of the 2010 Yokohama V8 Ute Series, protected by Armor All at Mt. Panorama Bathurst this weekend.
“I’m kicking myself a bit because I just didn’t get the job done in qualifying,” Burnitt admitted, “it makes the whole weekend so much more difficult when you don’t qualify up in the first half of the field. The racing is more frantic towards the back and the margin for error is so much less. Joe (De Vries) and Jason had the car really nice but I couldn’t do the car speed justice.”
Burnitt was nothing if not spectacular.

Brad Patton’s overall result isn’t indicative of the speed or the fervour with which he attacked the sixth round of the 2010 Yokohama V8 Ute Series, protected by Armor All at Mt. Panorama Bathurst.
The driver of the Wicked Energy Drinks / CHILL XR8 Falcon was right in contention all weekend at one point in qualifying Friday morning was as high as second fastest! He would eventually place 7th in the 30 plus car field for qualifying.
