Big Guns locked and loaded for Townsville Print

The Big Gun V8 Ute Racing team of Brad Patton, Peter Burnitt, Ryal Harris and Greg Willis are as ready as they’ll ever be for this weekend’s fourth round of the 2011 Auto One V8 Ute Series at the Townsville Sucrogen 400.

Team Manager / Head Engineer Joe De Vries has been in Townsville for over a week now prepping the cars and setting things up for what the team hopes will be it’s most successful round yet in 2011.

“We’ve had some tremendous help from the TAFE up here,” says De Vries, “as have several other teams as well. The assistance we’ve received from the TAFE guys has been really vital in our build up and we can’t thank them enough for all that they are doing.”

The TAFE situation is not the only local support that Big Gun are receiving, with Peter “Gangsta” Burnitt once again receiving sponsorship assistance from Beaches Pool Supplies in Cairns.

After a spirited performance at Hidden Valley Raceway in Darwin where he picked up his second Masters Medal from three rounds Burnitt will be fired up for a big weekend in Townsville to get some exposure for his backers CNW Electrical and Beaches Pool Supplies.

Ryal Harris and Brad Patton formed the “VIP Petfoods precision driving team at Darwin where they raced side by side and in close proximity for many laps (garnering them excellent TV exposure in the process) and Harris in particular was smoking hot, earning a race win in the final event of the round
.
It goes without saying that the dynamic VIP Petfoods duo will be gunning for a similar result at Townsville starting this Friday.

More information on how they fare in the fourth round of the 2011 Auto One V8 Ute Series, protected by Armor All, will follow soon or check out www.biggunracing.com.au
